Hockey Game

Hockey is the National Game of India.

In Hockey, India has an excellent record with 8 Olympic gold medals. Indian hockey's golden period was from 1928 to 1956. In that period, the Indian hockey team won 6 successive Olympic gold medals. Indian Team also won the 1975 World Cup besides 2 more medals (silver & a bronze medal). The Indian Hockey Federation gained global affiliation in 1927 & joined the International Hockey Federation (FIH) .
