Justice (emiritus) K Narayana Kurup, former acting chief justice, has called for a committed initiative to foster love and pride for the country as a passion among the present generation. In this regard, Gandhian vision and values are of great importance, he added.
Launching "Mission Flag", the statewide drive for creation of awareness on the national flag,under the aegis of the Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation,the jurist noted that terroism is barbaric and no society had ever gained anything from it.In fact, terrorism is the weapon of the loser. The young generation should take up teh responsibility to fight against it tooth and nail,he felt.
Foundation chairman Eby J Jose presided.A website on "Mission Flag" was launched on the occaion by Dr A T Devasia, former vice chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi university. Justice N arayana Kurup also released a brochure, meant for distribution in schools, free of cost, as part of the drive. |
